Tasting notes
With a pale pink, almost onion skin color, the wine shows its fine and persistent perlage while floral aromas and hints of raspberry and strawberry emerge. On the palate, the tight bubbles have a vibrant mouth feel accompanied by a beautiful acidity and elegance, finishing with toasty sensation.
Why we like it
On only the best years in the vineyard, Tenuta Marino decides to select a small portion of their Montepulciano grapes to craft a limited-edition sparkling rose using the classic Champagne method. The versatile grape matures late in the season, around October, when using for red wines, thus providing a late-summer harvest for rose, when the grapes have a high acidity and lighter red-fruit and citrus qualities. This first vintage resulted in 2147 bottles that show a wonderful balance, nuance and an overall pleasurable experience to drink.
